I've got a new truck with the dual controls for passenger and driver. I was wondering if anyone had measured the temperature of the air coming out of their vents or knows what it should be. My cab seems to take longer than it should to cool down (even though it is nice and hot down here in Florida). Thanks for any info.

in my experiance ac cools the incoming air about 16-18 degrees on a good system. not a set temp as the incoming air temp plays a part in the outgoing air temp.

I keep a digital thermometer in mine at all times. Most days lately here in Texas have been 90/92 and I'm blowing around 48 if fresh air is coming in and 45/46 if I've got it on recirculate.

On some of my older trucks it was always relative to the ambient, but that doesn't seem to be the case with the '03. There may be a possibility that my $7. 00 thermometer is off by a few degrees.

It depends on the humidity and the temp of the outside air. The more the moisture content the harder the a/c has to work to drop the temp.

at 90 outside temp my air is 39 to 44 deg. but it's dry here.
