Was wondering if you have been seeing any dually beds for the 2nd Gen trucks lately. A lot of people have taken them off and put flat beds on them. I am needing a bed for mine. If you have seen any, especially in my area, what kind of prices were on them?

Not that this helps much being in Northern Wisconsin, but my friend has a brand new bed (less than 1,000 miles on it) from a 1997 Dually. Its been in storage for years at a body shop. Tailgate and lights included. Red in color. Perfect condition. He wants around 1,700 bucks for it. It was a take-off for a flat bed conversion. I'm sure it could be shipped.

I can't remember the exact town, but I used to make a run up 287 to Wichita Falls about twice a month and there was a place that had a whole yard of take off beds. I believe it was on the east side of Decatur somewhere. Any N. Texans on here that know where i'm talking about?

I was standing on the sidelines of a conversation recently when several were discussing the same subject. Someone spoke of a salvage yard in Snyder, TX, don't recall the name. Snyder is a small town so it shouldn't be difficult to locate them. Seems like they were talking about prices of around $2k for new takeoff beds.

Check with Western Hauler? (Ft. Worth, or Weatherford, TX)? Cowboy Customs/Conversions Stephenville or Cleburne, TX?

That place you are referring too out toward W. Falls? Can't remember the name sorry.

I've seen them go for 1000-1200.

I know where there is one in Midloathian on a truck about to be parted out, its camo in color and I think the rs fender is missing? Other than the color I don't remember it being beat up, but didn't pay close attention. .
