Anyone read the July issue of Trailer Life?

My wife was reading the July issue of Trailer Life, and came across a funny letter in their tech. column. . A PSD reader wrote in saying that he loves his diesel truck, but not the exhaust stench that fills his garage every morning. One of his friends told him that he solved the problem. He adds a quart of Pine Sol at every fillup of diesel fuel:-laf :-laf . He let the guy smell the exhaust and he said that while he could still smell diesel fumes, they were almost covered by the refreshing scent of a pine forest. . He said that Ford's customer service was reluctant to address this when he called their 800 number- that is why he wrote to Trailer Life, to get their opinion. What do you think? Maybe it's cleaning action will keep the injectors nice and clean

I heard of a VW (diesel of course) Rabbit that was using used popcorn oil for fuel. Guess what its exhaust smelled like. Mmmm

Would you put something with an ingredient label like this in your tank? The alcohol alone, 10%, is enough to wreck your injection pump.

I saw that letter in the magazine... . sheez. Diesel smells fine the way it is. PineSol STINKS ! Dude needs a car, not a diesel truck.

I still remember the smell of Castor oil from a motorcycle when I was a kid. Went through a couple of cases of CASTROL before I learned why it didn't smell the same

mmm, diesel smell. . it is great. . but you can buy scented oils to put into fuel [at least gasoline]. it makes you exhaust smell like coffee, chocolate, grape, strawberry or what ever other "flavor" they have. . i remember seeing that on that "high rev tuner" show that is on speed channel at 10:30 EST sundays
