Is anyone running a marine type fuel meter on their CTD?

I use a Navman fuel meter for my gas powered Suzuki DF140 and it's extremely accurate once you calibrate it. They make similar fuel meters for diesels. It's extremely useful for finding the sweet spot of rpms, speed, current, wind etc for getting the best fuel mileage. It's real time measurements as well as cumulative.

Sounds pretty cool. But how do you mount it in a diesel application? I mean, it would have to go between the injection pump and the injectors, right?

A friend of mine has 2 fuel meters (GPH) in his 38' Cigarette Top Gun... At WOT, the motors (Twin Big Block 454 Supercharged) will drink ~60 GPH, EACH! Pretty Cool though, and I am glad someone started this topic. . I would be curious as to how many GPH I can flow with the Smarty on 9 and WOT... I know it's enough to make the fuel gauge dip and come back up!
