Anyone Running Aeroturbine ?

Was wondering if the aero turbine 4040xl would yield any better egts or mileage versus the nelson 86131m?



Would there be any benefit of switching from my nelson 51" to the 4040xl aeroturbine.

I have the 4040L and love it, however I doubt you'll see any better EGT/MPG switching from the nelson... if so it would be negligible. I do love the sound, though!

I ordered the 5050XL, it is longer and 5" so we will see !!!

Same as black pearl, the sound is exactly what i wanted, louder than any other muffler i've seen but still doesn't p. o. the neighbors.

Sure, I installed mine back in 2003 and have been impresses with it every since. I installed the Hog 4" SS exhaust system and loved the system but hated the drone it produced at certain RPM's. I bought the Aero muffler to lower or get rid of the drone, and installed it right after the down pipe but before the muffler. It worked out great for me, pretty much got rid of the drone and made the truck so much more pleasing to drive. Be prepared, it gives the truck a very different sound.

I just gave my aeroturbine away today! I hated the sound. Very airy and lots of drone. I couldn't bring myself to take $50 for it, so I gave it away. I bet it would sound pretty good on a second gen.

I would agree, Heres what it sounds like, (No cat and an at) (a cat and no muffler) They have no difference in sound, so what im trying to say is save the money/time and just delete your muffler for 50 bucks,done

i had a 4040 on an 04. 5 with no cat it was a 6spd and it sounded awesome, so now i bought a cheap kit off of ebay and plan to buy the 5050 in the future. I loved the sound was not as loud as a straight piped truck but loud enough to turn heads. I have had many kits flow pro, expandit, straight piped and the areo turbine sounds the best imo
