Anybody running DDP 3s or 4s? What kind of mileage increase/decrease did you see? I know it depends on how heavy your foot is, but assuming you have some control, what can I expect?

Also, is anyone running the 4s w/ stock turbo? What kind of EGTs are you seeing?

I rarely see 900* w/ my current mods, and can't peg 1000* (I know that doesn't seem right- I'm looking into it). W/ ported head, cam, intake and exhaust, and 17. 5* timing, should I be alright w/ the 4s? This is all at sea level, and DE is flatter than a pancake! Thanks!

Do you have your pyro pre or post turbo. I ran a set of 3's with a stock turbo and a stock 180 pump. I don't think I had any EGT issues, but it was over 1. 5 years ago.

Pre turbo- I'm pretty sure the EGT readings are right, but I'm looking into reasons my fueling might not be at full level.

That's an easy 500+ hp combo, maybe 600 as those injectors are bigger than the 370's that I run on a day to day basis.

4's here. Never saw a difference in mileage between the 4s and the 370s I had.

I think your EGTs are right on, given the cam, porting and advanced timing. EGT-wise, you coul probably get away with running 4s.

I'll bet you have a few tricks done that I haven't even thought of yet. I should get it on a dyno, but I'm just about to pull it apart to put on my pocket ported head with o-rings, studs and springs, a Scheid street cam, an intercooler, a bigger pump, and a few other things. I really like it the way it is now. More might be better, as long as I can build it so it doesn't damage itself.

That's what I wanted to hear!! Haha. :D I hate buying something and then having to upgrade a few months or a year later. I'm hoping they might actually give me a boost on mpg b/c my stockers may be getting a little worn and out of balance at 268k mi. I figure after the injectors the next step is getting the pump tweaked and turbo together (that's probably a while down the road). Thanks-Josh

They just might give a gain in mileage. I gained 1mpg going to the 370s, from the stockers, that had ~175k on them. Every truck reacts differently, so I can't guarantee anything. Only one way to find out. :-laf

I love 'em. I just did 535/1196 today. it's got more torque in it, the poor OFE couldn't hold when we braked the dyno down real hard to get it to hit in 6th :(

DDP4's, 913 pump, 18. 5*, home grown plate, AFC mods, ported head.

Not trying to hi-jack the thread, goes with the title. :)

What do you think of DDP 3s with my set-up, and keeping the stock turbo?

I'm trying to decide between DDP 2s or 3s. I tow a 10,000 lb 5th and would like to get up those hills a little faster. :)

I've not been on a dyno but I figure I'm at about 23O hp to the wheels right now.

All I would like to do is injectors and timing to 15. 5. I'm worried about EGTs, which are pretty good right now. I'm thinking the bigger injectors will be offset by the timing advance.

So, DDP 2s or DDP 3s?

Did you go over to Bob Davies place in Gainsville to run on his dynojet?

Jim

sure did, we had a good time! :)

there were a few trucks that didn't do what they/we thought they were gonna do, so I was worried I wasn't gonna hit 500... I was hoping for 525 :)

it was cold out, but everyone had a good ol' time!

I found out about that event just thursday from Gun Racer and I already had planned... ..... Woman time!

Need to get a hold of Bob and find out his schedule so I can do some tuning. He does a few car shows around Oklahoma during the year.
