Anyone running SPS62/S400 twins on a 2nd gen?

Turbo information wanted

TST questions

Curious how the S400 works out on the bottom. I'm running a K31 on the bottom and it runs out of steam a bit early. Hoping the 20 or so extra lbs/min of air from the B2/S400 will help out the top end.

I don't have the SPS62, but I have the HTT HTB2 62/14. I know they are not the same turbo, but close... :D I really like the combo for what I use the truck for. Anything in particular you want to know?

Are you using an external gate on your top charger? Without nitrous, does it seem to pull hard up to at least 3000rpm without going flat?
 
I am running the 62/. 80 on top and a modified 4c-3b/? charger on the bottom. It seems to run ok ;) . I can say that it is very fast to spool with the correct mods to the exhaust housing. I hope to get back on the dyno soon to see what she will do. Maybe i will break 450hp. :-laf Need more fuel captain!!! :D
 
Too much for me Brad. I'm just trying to get back over the 340php mark. (php= Ponci horsepower). transmission back in yet Brad?

note to self don't believe Brad... . AT ALL :p Funny last I heard before I... . no you Ponci Sr. (for you Wags) ruined my favorite britches "its ok, launchs' alright".

I do believe I'm more excited then you are Bud..... I cannot wait to see what see does on that dyno.

Yes the trannys in and running good so far. I can say that PDR did me right, as usual. Harry , Mark and the whole clan are great to deal with. I am setting my shift points to my likings. Feels good to get it back on the road again. Jeff, do you think i will get over 450hp? My passanger seat has a brown stain in it from you. :-laf Maybe i should take you out for a little drive on hwy36!! :D

I am using the internal gate on the top charger. I have it adjusted to produce 33psi on the bottom turbo, at 70psi total. EGT's are ~1450 at the end of the track, and have stopped climbing. #2 only.



It pulls hard all the way to the point where the VP44 defuels. Can't tell you after that. :D Oh, yeah... that is above 3000rpm
