Anyone see the biodiesel blurb on the Weather Channel?

Thanks, TDR Staff

Would you buy this truck?

E320 average 139.999mph for 100,000 miles

They made it look like making biodiesel was really easy, then proceeded to dump it into a GASOLINE-powered Jeep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were interchanging "Gasoline" and "Biodiesel" language like they were the same thing!!!

Pretty sad considering how much information there is on the web alone... even sadder that it made it onto national TV without someone critiquing it...

Saw them mixing it up in a quart jar that the one you're referring to? The way they explained it was easier than mixing a margerita.

I didn't hear them interchange it with gas or dump in a Jeep... wasn't paying that close attention.

That's it...

They were so sloppy with their terminology, the average person would have probably came away thinking biodiesel could be run in a gasoline-powered auto... and then dumping it into a gasoline-powered Jeep Cherokee at the end was priceless!

I've run biodiesel in gasoline engines. We used to use diesel in old tractors to clean them out so I tried it with bio. All I got was a little black smoke.

Mix ratio was maybe 5%.

10-12 years ago dad screwed up and dumped a bunch of diesel into the old farm truck with a gas GM 350. We figure it had to be at least 1/3 probably closer to 1/2 diesel. Truck spit and sputtered but it never died. Kept it running for a few hours until we ran it enoguh to get a bunch of gas in it. No damage was done... except dad's pride.
