Changing ATF - best way to get it all out

Man,

I was reading about Smith & Wesson's new revolver ... what a MONSTER!! ?

What the heck is it for ... charging Grizzly bears?

I don't think I would want to try shooting one of those things, even with the smallest round made for it.

Do any of you guy own one or has anyone here shot one? Whats it like? Do you have a hammer spur imprint in you forearm?

Don't have one yet, but supposedly the muzzle brake eats a lot of the recoil. The test I read said it was more enjoyable to shoot than the 454 Casull Super Redhawk. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I just recieved my Serbu BFG 50 (50 BMG). the rifle weighs 25# and is gret to shoot. The muzzle brake is very effective. My 450 Marlin has more felt recoil.

I have a friend trying to sell me a Pistol in 30-06 cal. It loads from the rear and has a muzzle brake on the barrel. Now that is a monster. He put the brake on because everytime he shot it, he almost broke his wrist, and the thing almost twisted out of his hand.

As soon as they make one with a more portable length barrel, I want one. I do alot of work in the bear woods and my . 44 mag looks real small next too a interior Alaska griz. The S&W would do alot to level the playing field.

I've fired my Dads 30-06 pistol a few times, with no muzzle brake and the stock wood grips. I really don't think its any worse than a rifle in the same caliber. The muzzle blast is fearsome, but most of the recoil can be absorbed in the arms and it doesn't leave a bruise on the shoulder.

The trick is to just ride the recoil out and not try to hold on too hard. fun gun.
