Anyone tried GoodYear Wrangler Silent Armor?

I am going to need new tires for the Megacab before the snow sets in. I have been running the BFG AT KO in 285/70-17 and plan to run the same size in whatever replaces them. This set of BFGs only lasted 30k, seems like my last couple sets did another 10k but oh well.



Any input on the GoodYears? I am looking at the Wrangler Silent Armor.

I just ordered a set of Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor tires for my truck today. I went with the stock size (265/70R17E), so I could keep the stock spare. They will be here next week. They are the "Pro-Grade" version, which is supposed to have a tougher rubber compound than the regular version. They look good (a lot like the Goodyear AT/S, which they replaced). I was impressed with the owner reports for this tire on TireRack.com (they were rated higher than the BFG All Terrain T/A). I also like the fact that they have the "mountain snowflake" certification, since the main reason why I want to replace my OE BFG Rugged Trails is that they were not very good in snow last winter (fine otherwise, though). I'll report on them once I get them. Good luck with yours.

I've had mine for almost a year now. They handle quite well in the snow to the point that I am able to transverse in 2WD whereby before 4wd was required under similar circumstances with the Michelin LTX's.

I had a set on my GMC. Traction on haul roads and in mining pits was much better than the stockers. Put 20k on em b4 selling the truck and they looked to have as much tread remaining. I liked em, in fact, if they made a 35" E rated version I'd put em on this truck.

I also like the snow tire rating, the BFG used to be the only AT tire out there with this rating. I also noticed the better ratings on the Tire Rack site compared to the BFG, that and the price difference might do it for me.
