I have a tst 0 plate in a 96 with 370 ,d valves, hx40 for now,4k g springs,70lbs v springs, and a 4inch down pipe into 5 inch before the rear wheel. My truck has 260,000 miles and i have been trying to blow up (got to other low mileage engines) but keep running strong. I wonder if the moving the plate forward would give me any more fuel. If anybody has down this with the 0 plate i would like to hear about it ,Thank You

Sliding it to 3/4 of the way forward helped mine. I put the 0 plate in center the 1st time.

I'd ck to see where max rack travel is at. If you can somehow get the rack to travel max & see where the #0 is at, you won't be ahead of the pin!

I am currently building one of the other engines right now peirs cam and oringing the head soon (xmas was a little set back) I have already got a bd hp pump for this other engine so i don,t want to pull out the engine untill i have to. Trying to do all the mods i can in the truck . If you have any more info on shimming for more rack travel i would like to see it, thank you. When i say i am trying to blow it up i drive like i stole it and i take my customers for beat runs just to show the power of a tweaked cummins i still change the oil every 3k and let warm up and cool down but the truck is driven very hard and it is just a toy. I hit 1650 max( pre turbo auto meter pyro ) in the quarter mile run on gtec the tracks a closed in michigan right now

1650 :--) No doubt I could, but I back out as I'm getting to 1350/1400. The needle is climbing fast @ that point.

If I am only hitting 1650 for a few seconds it does not bother me. I dont like to see over 1200 for long period of time like towing up a long hill. To me it is like waving you hand over a flame no big deal but sit their for a minute and it will hurt like hell

What I am asking, is how much usable power do you have? Can you ever accelerate full throttle throught the gears? To me, it doesn't matter how much hp it makes, if you can't hold the throttle there.

Oh yea, can accelerate with full throttle. I've only done it with 3rd, 4th & 5th. Typically, whoever you're running against gets dusted & you don't need to really take it up in the revs. High EGT is just solo fooling around.

It takes a bit to get to 1400 or so. Took a lot less time with the BHAF. Now with the Scotty II, it takes longer to get there. With the 300 injectors, it was even harder to get there.

It is very usable power I only hit 1650 at the end of the quarter mostly only in 5th gear but on the other hand its only 25 degrees I did not have all the mods this past summer
