I have always worried about my timing slipping on my injection pump. I see that Pure Diesel and Haisley make an adjustable timing gear that has a groove machined to accept a half moon key in the injection pump shaft. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

The pumps already have a cutout for a half moon key. The hub of the adjustable gear is slottede for the half moon key. That will keep the hub from slipping. There four slotted holes in the gear that are tightened down when timing is where you want it. The Pure Diesel gear has a pin in the hub and will fit in a hole in the gear. This adds one more way to keep the gear from slipping on the hub.
