Is there someone in our ranks that can give a
report on the use of this treatment. A friend had used some on a road trip and said he saw less smoke, more power. Could this be the Holy Grail?More power?Just fill the tank with all Lucas, that will do it. I have been using Stanadyne and have 4 1/2 gallons But am thinking of doing a switch. Any opinions?

RichR,
When I drove for a living, there were guys at the company that would swear by this stuff. In the one truck I had experience with it improved smoothness, power, less smoke, and increased mileage on the 1000 mile trip. I have the gear oil (80% mix)in my transmission and like the results (smoother shifts when it warms and keeps the tranmission cool). I haven't tried it because the Power Service is easier to get and portion in the tank.

hey other guy named Rich--- I've been using 8-9oz per fill-up (abt 2/3 tank each time)for several weeks now... I've not made notice of mileage or power improvements... before that sounds negative, keep in mind that cleaning a dirty injector will make more power, while treating a clean injector just continues the cleanliness (I am fortunate enough to have 2 very-high-volume fuel stations to choose from, and consequently, my injectors would probably stay clean untreated... I just use it for the peace of mind involved with the lubricity increase... as i said in another post thread, I enjoy a slippery pump. #ad

Hey Terry,
Have a look at http:/www.lucasoil.com.
It gives limited info.
Oilman says Lubrication Engineers is good.
Anyone have an oppinion on their products?

hey tschwab--I get my Lucas jug at Cummins Intermountain---there are several locations scattered about, but I don't know if one's near enough to you to be practical (their corp't hq is in SLC,UT, and "my" store/shop is in Lost Vegetables,NV)

Ive been using a diesel treatment from Red Line synthetic oil company. Tell ya what, this stuff is great. The motor is smother and quiter, and smokes less on start up and when the hammer is down. The milage is up and I only add 2 ounces per tank. Since the first genners rely on the low sulpher diesel to lubricate the pump, this stuff is a great addition.

Diesel Injection of Pittsburgh recommended this stuff to me in 95' and I have used it ever since. On some of the bigger Cummins motors they report a 3psi gain in manifold pressure just by adding Lucas!!
I have used about every additive made and the only one that works is Lucas. For smoothness, power, lubricity and MILEAGE!! #ad

I use power service for anti-gell. :G
