I just bought a new B&W companion hitch and was wondering if there will be room for a toolbox/tank in the bed after installation. Does anyone out there have a similar setup?

Thanks,

Dave

I don't have a Mega, but my QC SWB only has about four inches between my B&W and the front of my RDS 51 gal. fuel/tool combo. I wouldn't have room for the companion (if I had a 5er). I'm assuming on the Mega, you'd have even less room than I do. But I could be wrong.

I beleive the bed in our Mega Cab trucks is the same bed used on the short bed QCs... . so you could expand your question to include the owners of short bed QC owners...

How big of a tank do you need?

I saw an advertizement for transfer flow tank that will replace the stock fuel tank on a Mega Cab truck. This tank is a non-metallic tank just like the production tank is, so no rust issue with your fuel. I believe the capacity for this tank is 54 gallons? According to transfer flow this will work with the stock fuel gage and you do not have to open and valves to fill up the stock tank.

Just another thought.

The advertizement was in the latest issue of Diesel World.

I showed this to my DW and she said, I have spent enough on the truck and camper this year. So I might have to wait for next year.
