I installed a RoadMaster sway bar this past weekend (part number 1129-120) on '03. I am also ready for my 60,000 Phase Dock inspection (for my USAF buddies). I want to change my differential covers over to Mag Hytec but am unsure if the rear cover (AA 11. 5") will fit with the RoadMaster installed. Anyone have this combination???

Mine is a 1129-130 on a 4x4 dually and when I called and asked about this they said that they made them intentionally to clear the Mag Hytec covers. So I'd say your good to go, mine cleared the cover even though it is a diferent brand of cover, there is lots of clearance. I love the difference it made when I've got my quad deck on.

I have no idea if it is better but I did not realize the subtle difference the Hellwig made until after I removed the sway bar. I liked and bought the RoadMaster for two reasons. It does not "clamp" to the axle tubes and it is more compact. It is however about 2x the price. It mounts to the underside of the rear shock mounts and the "legs" of the bar do not extend past the tires.

As a side note, for those thinking about the RoadMaster Sway Bar part number 1129-120. If you are using Bilstein 5100 shock absorbers on the rear, the drivers side mounting bracket will rub on the shock boot (this shock is angled to the rear of the truck). I ground approximately 1/2" off the bracket to gain approximately 1/4" of clearance between the bracket and shock boot.

Doing anything this weekend Bill? I am going to Sakakawea SP. I'll be in VanHook.
