Svnthetic oil change intervals?

Needle valve question

It was pointed out to me that some of my posts regarding Amsoil may be offensive.

I sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by something I said, it was not my intent to offend anyone.

In the future, I will consider how a comment may be taken before posting it.

Hey, as far as I'm concerned, a guy (or gal (don't want to start any war:D )) can run any oil they feel will meet thier needs. The one thing I had a little problem with was your reference to "pyramid marketing companies" (may not be a direct quote). If you are not part of one of these type plans-please don't comment on it. Amsoil and Amway are perfectly legal companies and are proven to be great alternatives to traditional business.

I won't rant and rave about this issue, but am concerned about people making statements that they are not completely qualified to make, i. e. not being a part of these businesses or ever have been. Sorry in advance if I've gotten the wrong impression and thanks for the apology.

'S'OK. We managed to turn it into a discussion after all. Someone even gave the thread a 5-star rating! ('Tweren't me, though. That'd be like soldiers returning from Iraq exclaiming, "That was a great war! It was exhilarating!")

GWHaley... somebody can only comment about something if they are part of it... seems to me, quite often the opposite is true... you can't really know what you're talking about when you're part of it... :p kinda need to be deprogrammed.

One of the most misunderstood things are pyramid schemes. Amway definately has elements of a pyramid, but so far, has (?) stayed legal.

By the way... I know what I'm talking about cause a couple of times I was aggresively approached to be recruited:--) ... didn't like the pyramid elements and the schleppy hard pitch sales (makes a lot of people run)... then again... jmho.

One question here would be then: What is a pyramid scheme? Wouldn't a regular job be the ultimate pyramid, and you as the employee be on the proverbial bottom?? Think about it.

p. s. I REALLY don't like the hard sell that some MLM'ers get caught up in either-we're not all like that and find that we don't need to be.

I think an actual pyrmid scheme does not have product of value change hands. To start one, I convence two people to give a a dollar, and then they each convence two people to give them a dollar and give part of it to me, etc. It looks like you will make enormous amounts of money for doing nothing, but the plan falls apart very quickly. 30 years ago this was accomplished by mailing letters thru post office. Now it's done by email.
