Apology

I would like to apologize to this group... ... I personally belong to several groups and on at least 2 of those boards you can talk pricing of parts, accessories, and labor as long as your asked a question... ... .



I haven't taken the time to read every line of the terms of service for this board but it has been brought to my attention that talking pricing is not allowed.....



For this reason, I thought it would be appropriate of me to apologize ... ... .

Yeah dont worry jelag. Some of these ol' boys on these boards can be a little stuffy. They take themselves a little too seriously.



Kinda reminds me. I am still in my 20s but was a devout Christian most of my life and am extremely respectful to my elders. I happen to wind up at the local American legion and the good ol boys were way too stuffy. Your not a member this your not a member that. I was like OOOHHH excuse me. I was with a member and my father was in the service for 10 years during the required years for me to become a member but who would want to hang out with you A Holes anyways. If I wanted to hang out with some cooler good ol boys I would hang out with the Veterans of Foreign Wars. They didnt like my opinion. Sorry for the rant but that stuff will give me an aneurysm if I dont spew it on someone.

Personally, I found jelag's posts to be informative and I learned much from them, however if there were no brakes on advertising we would be swamped with ads for every product made, some good, some bad. There has to be some rules.

So, If we don't accept your apology, whats the price, and with the acceptance of the aforementioned apology, what is the additional discount, and do we get a larger discount of we were deeply offended or is it the same for being mildly offended? And if you tell us the price with the discount for being deeply offended, do we get an additional discount due to double indemnity caused by being given the price again, and if that price is not discounted for being offended, whats the purpose of this post???

I think this post was to point out that we are too stuffy. I may be wrong though. It has happened before. Although I dont remember the last time it happened. Im quite sure it is commonplace in other parts of the world. I have a friend that lives near New orleans and he says it happens more frequently down there. Him being born in Alaska would be able to spot it sooner than the average person. But then again he too has been wrong on more than one occasion on a night of heated arguments about the cost of pepsi rising across the state. It turns out the coke also increased in price. I have a hypothesis about the increase but it involves conspiracy theories and the belief that aliens have already infiltrated our society and our breeding us out. How else can one explain the loss of the bid for presidency of Jessie Jackson. HHHMMMMM

Hey federalman, it's always seemed odd to me that we Americans send people to other countries to monitor THEIR elections when something like what happened in our last one is considered above board - Oh well, I guess this is something for another forum. Great opportunity to micro-rant though!

Enlighten me-Why can't we discuss pricing of stuff? It sure seems like it would be beneficial for all of us owners.

Members can discuss prices, vendors cannot. The reason for that is to avoid advertising on the forums. If it was allowed the forums would be full of it. The guidelines at the bottom of the screen spell out clearly what is and isn't allowed. Members have much more latitude than vendors.
