Broke My Prosthetic Ankle Joint-I Messed Up

From The Heart & its Contagious

Just replaced my control board on a simple GE, the oven temp setting quit. All is well. The washing machine drain pump set up a racket so I pulled it and shook out a penny. It worked for two days then quit again. Pulled it back out and actually disassembled it this time and found a nickel plugging up the outlet port.

I am like you Mike, I will work on almost anything:D

Well, they found the code. Communication error between control panel and the board. Told me to put it back in and see if it straightened out. Sometimes disconnecting and reconnecting the ribbon cables will reset it.
If it doesn’t work then I order the board..

Running down to try it now..

Look for capacitors that are bulged. The sides should generally be cylindrical and the tops should be flat. Remember all those Chinese capacitors from around 2003-2007 that failed in almost everything that used them. I recently found an 8-port 100Mbps network switch (c. 2010) at church that failed; it had a bulged cap. I could've replaced it, but new gigE switches can be had for around $25.

Got a fancy GE fridge. It just quit one day while under warranty. GE tech comes out, and plugged in a laptop at the top forward edge. You wouldn't believe the diagnostics on this thing! I was blown away. It had a bad thermistor and there was a campaign for one of the fans.
it’s out of warranty now.
good luck mike.

Well finally got back to this...new control panel board did not fix it..so I’ll sell that on ebay.

Ordered a used burner relay board even though the code did not point to that. $45.00 including shipping. That showed up at work yesterday..put it in this afternoon...

That did it!! All good now!!
