I had been having surging problems for a few months now and was preparing for the bad news of replacing the APPS or even worse, the injection pump. However, with nothing to lose, I tried the procedure described here:

Sure enough, my APPS voltage was about half of what it should have been and after adjusting it within . 001 of what it was supposed to be, my surging seems to be eliminated Oo. TDR once again saved me a lot of time and money.
It seems a lot of others have had dead pedal symptoms and this also helped that for many of you. I never had the dead pedal, just the surging. I would recommend this to anyone as it is very simple to do and takes less than an hour. It helps to have someone hold the volt meter while you turn the sensor. Thanks again to TDR!
