Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) APPS - Code 0121

I'm sitting is a hotel room waiting for a call from a Dodge dealership mechanic about the fate of my truck.



Only 4 hours into a 12 hour drive on I90. DEAD PEDDLE!!!! Throwing 0121 and 1693. My Garmin nuvi had the dealership information (Cunningham Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler about 15 miles from where we stranded). They arrange for the tow and have so far been good to deal with.



I just hope it truely is the APPS and not the injection pump.



No offence to those members from PA, but I really hate the fact you can't by a beer in a convenience store.

With that DTC it should be either the APPS or an ECM problem (usually the former).



Too bad you don't have a spare ~$170. 00 TPS on hand to use in case replacement is needed, because if the dealer replaces the entire APPS assembly (which includes the TPS), your wallet should be some $500-$600 lighter (parts and labor).



In any case, I hope everything works out and you're back on the road soon.
