I have the infamous od in-out problem, I have tried the apps disconnect batteries, wait 4 hrs, push pedal down etc. . method, disconnect, clean all grounds etc... method, had computer re-flashed, stealership says apps, all sensors working fine. so now I want to seperate the apps/tps wires in the harness in a seperate loom, have searched the site but can not find which color of wires is the apps/tps wires in the harness. Anyone able to help here, I know I read it sometime back on this site, but can not find it.

Want to try this & if it does not work, then I will be buying a noise filter.

Thanks

Did you try the foil on the ground lead from the Alt to the passenger battery? Almost free! Hey maybe that works because it is a taco truck.

I think the basic problem is the alternator wire in the wire bundle puts out spikes that confuses the transmission electronics.

I would run a seperate alternator wire preferably in a shielded sheath, but at least well away from the main harness. That should do it, just keep the seperate alternator wire well away from the main harness, or cross any harnesses at 90* angles and it should not be able to interfere with anything.

I think if I were going to run a seperate wire for the alternator I would use tinned marine wire (less likely to corrode, and superior electrical characteristics) of the correct gauge or maybe even one gauge larger then called for. Encase it in a metal braid shield and I can not see how it could then interfere.

Just some ideas,

How old our your batteries. The batteries are a filter to electrical noise, and as they get older, they do not filter as well. SNOKING

The DTT Voltage regulator solves a lot of those problems . It allows you to adjust voltage so it will not start out in second or third.
