Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Apps

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500. I sometimes have a dead throttle pedal. Can I clean the APPS or do I have to purchase a new one? If so how much does a new one cost?

The APPS on the 24 valve trucks is not easily cleaned, best to buy an aftermarket replacement from timbo here on TDR. From what you describe it doesn't sound like the APPS to me but rather a VP44. Go ahead and get a new APPS and try it, you will need one some day anyway.
