Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Apps??

While driving today lost power, got a dead pedal. Turned into parking lot to check it out and discovered truck was idling at 1500 rpm or so and it seemed to move around sometimes getting as high as 1900 rpm. Shut it down and checked codes, nothing. After a few minutes of scratching my head and poking and prodding at the APPS wondering how I was going to get home, I started it up and it seems to be working normal. I'm thinking it's probably the APPS, any one think of anything else to check.

I had the exact same symptoms last summer. I would run the cruise control for a few hours, when I went to get off the high way the idle was at 1500 or so. shut it off started it back up, ran great. I also had slight bucking issues, which I thought was something in the fuel system, long story short and a lot of money thrown at it, the APPS finally gave me a dead pedal. The funny thing is that it was less then a year old. So had not even thought of it being the problem. I now have a TIMBO APPS. had it for almost a year. easy install, no problems yet.
