Well i dont know if this may help ,i was down getting the shafts balanced on my old 2500 4x4 the other day (in Australia) , prior to it burning . and the driveline guy told me a story of one of the big manufacturers having problems with balancing drive shafts , it seemed that when originally manufactured they placed a cardboard V blocker inside the length of the shaft this would move in some circumstances and give drive line vibrations , you could balance it all you liked and then it would move again ,out would go the balance . some vehicles were ok for many miles ,some would do it after 3000 miles . the solution , cut the end off the shaft remove the cardboard , reattach and balance, end of problem
long story ,but somtimes you have to look inside ,not outside the box . good luck
