I have got to replace a engine in a 98 12V that had turbo bearings go through it. I know I could resleeve it and rebuild, but I have found a used engine out of a 95 with about 95K miles. My question is: are the early blocks (94s and 95s) any better or worse than the 96s and early 98s? I already know about the "53" block and I am excluding that block altogether from consideration. Are there any physical differences between the 94 - 95 engines and the 96 - early 98, except the horsepower ratings?
