Might have an '01 lined up to replace 98. 5. Both trucks are 5spd California 235/460. Are they the same VP44?

Thanks

I heard somewhere that the VP44's in 98-99 were the best ones. Something about steel parts instead of brass. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. ... . Jim

Bob,

Going by there they didnt even list a 235hp manual pump from 01-02.

Remember Cummins still made those too! Not just HO's manuals in 01 and 02.

The 235 standard pump will run all app's except the HO.
