I've got a Blue Chip Premium Fuel Management System box that I LOVE! Can't say enough good about the box or the company. But here is my dilema... I bought the box used and am wondering if something isn't screwed up with the digital gauges in the box. According to the box, my max #'s are:



1015 EGT

40. 3 PSI boost



I've given it heck enough times with the box on "kill" (63% fueling, drag race mode) to make me think that the EGT number is a little low and the boost number is a little high. After reading about EGT concerns from guys running similar setups, I'm wondering how accurate these numbers really are. Anybody else have a similar setup as mine with similiar numbers? See sig for setup... oh yeah... I'm running a stock turbo.

Is your probe for EGT pre or post turbo??? Sounds like a post-trubo number. I read somewhere that each pound of boost uses 10* of heat so if that number is post turbo the pre trubo reading would be around 400* hotter.
 
It's pre-turbo and those numbers are from running empty... just trompin' on it... oh yeah... and holding down the brake at the same time. ;) Just running around empty I don't think I EVER see 900*. Seems kinda low to me. Whatdya think?

Seems low to me as well. Not sure how to really determine it without swapping in another egt gauge to check it against.
 
SUPER MENTALS and a STOCK TURBO! I would seriously bet one of two things here.



1. The mentals are overcoming the air to fuel ratio and with the box on kill you are putting the fire out with fuel.



2 Your probe is beat and you better hoe yor pistons are O. K





My EDM's are/were too big for my PDR40 and anything after 30% on the FMS I lost performance. However she could get hot tho. 1685 was the highest I put thru the truck.
