Hey guys I was thinking about a 3 pillar setup and is it a pain to install I would like a egt turbo and maybe a fuel press what do you recommend I really dont tow alot I was thinking about buying the roadrelay 4 if you could give my your expert advice what do you think and what would you do thanks for the help!!!

If you are staying stock the fuel pressure is the only one you really need IMHO. The boost and EGT are nice to have though. The pillar mounts are pretty easy to install really, and the gauge connections a piece of cake. If you can do a stereo you can do gauges with your eyes closed.

I guess if I had the money for a road relay I would do that in a second, it will tell you things the guages can only dream of, it is not even in the same league. If you can spring for it I would but you still need the FP as the Cummins has no idea what the FP is. The road relay cannot tell you what the EGT is either, but again if you are stock it really is not a concern. Hope this helps.

the question is 'Do you ever plan to BOMB it?' if so then the guages are worth it.

the RR4 is too big to be sitting on my dash and I don't like the way it looks.

the guage you really need is EGT and it isn't in the RR4.

If you want to save money get the EGT and Boost Guage.

Stock and staying that way. . Westach 50 psi/EGT guage.

Bombing. . Autometer 60 psi and EGT or Nordskog 100 psi and autometer EGT (nordskog don't make one yet).

If you are going to stay stock and not pull at all you do not need anything. If you tow at all (especially at any elevation) you need at least an egt gauge. If you are going to bomb you need boost, egt and fuel pressure. One other that might be nice if you tow is transmission temp (assuming you have an auto). With all that said you need to monitor your fuel pressure in some way. Some guys do it at oil changes and some, like myself, have full time fuel press guages.

As for the Road Relay 4, there is a member of our little group of Bombers here in Alaska that got the RR4. He was not that impressed. It fails to do most of the features advertised and would not read much of the info it was susposed to. He sent it back to be reprogramed and is going to report to us at the next meeting.
