Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Are the V10 & Cummins' automatics the same?

I am wondering if the trannys are the exact same. I just bought a '98 with a V10 in it and was looking to do a valve body upgrade. I know the torque converters are different.

same transmission yes,contact dodge with your vin and find out if its a 47re

The governor is different in the 47RH. That is electronic for the later trucks, but you might want to check to make sure the valve body and governor solenoid are really the same.
