Trying on some aluminum wheels. I was told they are 2nd gen, but they hit the spindle at the tie-rod end boss. Any info would be appreciated.

Yes, those are 2nd gen wheels. What year truck (give us the truck info) are you trying to put them on? They fit just fine (but I won't tell you for what truck) :)
 
You are right - they will not fit - directly. If you have drum brakes they will most likely not fit the rear either.

You will need to grind the drums down (diameter of the outer lip) and you need to remove some metal from the spindle (where the tie rod attaches).

Thanks for the info, I will try the rears and if interference will just sell the aluminum rims and keep the chrome steelies
