ARE Topper Glass Replacement

I broke the passenger side 1/4 slider on my MX Series ARE topper. Suburban Toppers in Denver says ARE discontinued the 1/4 Slider and only makes the 1/2 Slider which means I have to replace the entire passenger side piece of glass at a cost of $130. The slider piece is all I need. Anybody have any sources for used or salvage topper parts thay may be able to help? Web searches have been unsuccessful.

Have you tried taking it to a glass shop? Suburban loves to tell you only their stuff will fix the problem

I'd be amazed if your local Binswanger Glass shop couldn't help you out.

If it were me I would try Prefered Glass in Denver.

I busted the glass out on the cap door on a Toyota I had years ago. The best and cheapest thing I was able todo was take the door off and I brought it down to a glass place that also did plexi glass.

The did a very nice custom cut a sheet of plexi for me and mounted it in the door frame.



No more fears of things bouncing in the bed and breaking the cap window.

I had to drill out the rivets holding the door hinge to the frame, and just re riveted the hinge back in.

I would call ARE directly before proceeding. While shopping for my current ARE I came across 2 dealers that did not have a very good understanding of their product... it took a call to ARE to sort it out. One very important aspect of my brand selection was the availability of spare parts and ARE seemed to be the best.
