Ok, Stock rims. Running 265/16 now. Tire Dealer wants to put 285 TOYO's on it. Question: Will they fit? Will they rub at lock to lock? How much will it change the speedo? TIA:D

i run the tires in my sig. the only time I rub is going through a ditch down hill when the suspension is bottoming out and I have the wheel turned full lock.

When I went from 245 (stock for '98) to 265 I went on a trip and watched the mile markers. when the odometer said 96 when I had gone 100 miles I figured I was 4% out of whack. When I calculate my MPG I add 4% to the milage to get a true reading. As far as the spedometer goes federal law mandates that spedometers show more than actual for safety. So spedometers are off to start with. If they were accurate I could assume that when the spedometer says 50 I am doing 52 with the larger tires. As the tires wear down then the 4% will need to be adjusted accordingly. I would guess that 285 would put you up to 8% but that is just a guess. The mile markers tell the story unless the road has been rebuilt to detour around a tunnel and the markers have not yet been changed. Hope this helps REGARDS Jim

I had 285's on mine before I added KORE suspension. Noe problem at all. Now I have 305 NITTOs. Couldn't fit 35s with the drop caused by the Buckstop front bumper.

Tires in my signature never rubbed, even before the leveling kit and with the stock chrome wheels before the Eagles went on. Spare even shoehorned between the rails.

NHAYS: I have a pair of 255/85/16 M55s also. How are they wearing for you I only have 7k and they look fine I am courious how long they will last???

They rub my trailing arms. Worst tire I have ever owned, out of round, thump romp if you run the air pressure up to what it should be the back end of my truck will sway horribly to the point of dangerous.

Toyo 285/75/16 M55s

you too, I was told by my tire dealer they were they're "best tire", I can't wait for these things to wear out, constantly vibrate regardless of air pressure. I'm purposely not rotating them so I have an excuse to replace them with something else.

I had the exact opposite experience with my Toyo's. Eliminated the "tail wag" and vibration I had with my BFG A/T's from moment one. Provided a smooth, controlled ride and balanced with minimal weight in contrast to my BFG's which needed up to 9 oz. 's of lead. I was so impressed with the Toyo's that I had them installed on my '07. AT's this time,"E"s all the way. Toyo should have addressed your complaints. BFG and Discount wouldn't address mine.
