I just got an e-mail from my superviser(Allegheny Power) to make sure I have plenty of fuel and all of the equipment is ready to go,maybe even out of this area. I guess they are expecting a few problems with the power . To all of you guys on the east coast,take care. I'm going to get my generator and backhoe checked over tommorrow... just in case... Doug

Quailifying cancelled. May not be much RV parking due to mud. As long as not catastrophic damage, Dover's site said its a go. More like a wait and see for the time being.

I'm set. Parked the motor-home on the side of the house, we are going to use its generator to keep the beer cold, when and if we lose power.

My granpa (95) asked me yesterday if we were going to get hit here. I told him we are just a bit outside the blast zone.

Well, my court is about the only govm't agency in Northern Virginia that's open. We're anticipating closing at 1 and not opening again until Monday morning. Lots of folks need to come here for cases and weddings and such gonna be mighty disappointed.

Well it's upon us,hit N. C. and the winds are still at 100 mph. Last I heard 800,000 people out of power. I'm to start work at 6 a. m. tommorrow,told to plan on working 16 hours. Winds are supposed to slow to 60 by the time it reaches us,but we shall see. We put the 5th wheel in the building this morning,hopefully the building holds up . Hope everyones o. k. to the south... Doug

I'm located in Central Virginia. The hurricane is supposed to pass me just to the east some time late tonight. At present, it's really starting to blow out there. Truck and all cars are sandwhiched into the garage along with every thing else that was outside.
