I am. . One thunder storm after another, all week long and again this week, so they say. My swamp is overflowing and my lawn is one big pond. I spent the day corralling my koi back to their real pond, which is part of the yard now.

The past couple of years have been rather dry and my swamp got to where there was no standing water and few skeeters. The swamp is now a swamp again and the skeeters are as big as their arch enemy, the dragonfly.

Been rained out of the fields for a bit over a week. Would've been able to get in yesterday if it hadn't rained before sunrise. 1. 100"

Yeah, Doc, I'm over here in West Michigan. Another two inches overnight. Pretty much 1/2 to 1 inch each day. Grand Rapids got nailed with 2. 5 inches friday in about 1 1/2 hours. Mudslides, basements flooded.

Our roofing business is taking a hit. Lots of work, but since most of it is tear-offs, we can't seem to get started with the persistent threat of rain. Looks like tomorrow might be good, but showers predicted for tomorrow night into tuesday.

Water standing in fields all over here. We may diversify our business, perhaps Ark building or some such. Just thought I'd float that idea:D

My aunt lives in Niles, Mi. Evidently the town lost power on Friday, during that storm, and it was still still out today (Sunday).

I know what you mean

I think we've gotten over 11. 5" since Thursday night. We're gonna get some more in an hour or two. I've lived in this area all my life, and I have never seen this much water. Spent 3 hrs. this afternoon raking cornstalks and corn cobs from my front yard. Lastnight, the whole front yard was under 3" of water. Too bad we couldn't send some of it down to Klenger:)

Rain you say?

What rain?

Ain't been raining for at least... ... ... ... ... ...

... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .

... ... oh, I'd say... ... ... ... three hours or so:D

We are drying out a little, but ...

. . . . the Watcher of the Water are predicting that the Grand River will crest at 19. 7 feet Wednesday night. That will be the highest crest since 1960. Lots of flooded out homes and businesses up and down the river. There are more than a few campgrounds along the river that will be full (of water) for the Memorial Day weekend. Not fun.
