Scot, my truck continues to leak water on the drivers side after I have fixed the vent. That had to be it because when I took the vent off the foam seal was soaked with water. I pulled them off and put silicon on the vent part. Well it didn't seem to work, it rained yesterday and there was water. Is this the only other place it could be leaking? What are my other options? Thanks a lot!

Well guys thanks for all the information. Where would the water leak in from the cowl area? The windshield gasket is new and the water seems to still be coming from the vent, I don't think I sealed it perfectly the first time. Is water supposed to be down in that area of the truck by where the vent is? Also when you hear the cowl crack, does this cause trouble and absolutely have to be fixed or is it fixed just to take care of the annoying noise, can water leak in there? The water seems to be coming in on the drivers side, from under the kick panel and its not above this point or its not getting the carpet wet underneath. Thanks for a great website and the great assistance.

I would try resealing it. I never took mine apart. I just pulled the kick panels and siliconed them as far as I could reach. On the drivers side, I pulled it down into seated position with the screws, let it dry, and then put it together. Might look and see if there is a bunch of leaves that could be affecting water flow.

Welcome to the TDR site and the 1st Gen. forum!
I'd like to offer a guide and tips for posting.
If your ongoing questions are concerning the same subject (such as water leaks) just open the thread that you have started and click on "Post Reply" that way your question and response will be a continuation of the topic (water leaks) and continue the "thread".
This makes it much easier for the members to respond with answers and solutions.
Of course if your problem or topic to share is different, you would click on "Post New Topic" first.
Oh yeah. . on your leak... check your cowl area, and inside the air intake at the base of the winshield for proper drainage.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
