Just got back from a trip to Dallas/Fort Worth area. Saw diesel for . 4 cents a gallon less than regular gas at a Love station near I-35E and I-20. Saw it on the way up and back anywhere from the same price to . 26 cents a gallon more than regular. Kinda strange to me that the spread is wider down here where lots of fuel is refined than it is 300 miles North? Maybe with all the shuffling of the prices lately, they just haven't got it sorted out right yet? Well at least someone finally realized that engine oil is made from some of the same raw material that the fuel is made from and it is all well over $2. 00 a quart now. Do you think the people who set those prices are really that mixed up or are we being "hosed"? Don't answer that. bg

Got back from Las Vegas NV a couple hours ago - here in the Belen/Los Lunas/Albuquerque NM area, diesel is around $3. 10 ($3. 09 this past Wednesday at the Phillips 66 at the freeway and Los Lunas exit. I filled up at the Loves just East of Kingman AZ for $2. 83/gallon going to Las Vegas (had an insane headwind all the way there and still averaged 19 mpg) and stopped again to top off the tank this morning for $2. 81/gallon and cruised on home. Even in Las Vegas, the average price for diesel was $2. 95.
