Who's had gelling with ULSD???

Semi Truck Racing

:) Channel 19, at 5PM, Cleveland, Ohio showed a picture of a second generation Dodge pulling an 18 wheeler out of a snow drift in Elyria, Ohio. Don't know if it was a diesel or not, but don't think a gas engine would have enough torque to pull a tandem sleeper tractor with a 53 foot box. Who ever it was - -

GREAT JOB!

The pull was a success - -- Was it a TDR Member?

I will have to agree wiht you C. D. Day it would have to be a diesel and I would think 4 wheel drive. It would take 4 wheel low to get a semi moving if it had a full load.

We NEED that video clip! Somebody PLEASE track it down. Imagine the envy of the Furd and GM guys when that gets around the net. I'd love to see that!!!!!!!

I looked on the Channel 19 Cleveland (CBS)web site and the clip wasn't there - - they maybe going to use it at 11:00 PM. If some body has time to look tonight after midnight eastern time, you maybe able to find it. It is short maybe 10-15 seconds long but very graphic

must be a cummins thing.

Here's my contribution of me jumpstarting a rig, facing the wrong way on an off-ramp to the Snowshoe Pa. rest area...

The station manager must be a Ford guy. I can't find the video of the Dodge, but there is a clip of a Ford pulling a Cirrus or something out of the median. :rolleyes: I could have done that on my bicycle! :-laf

Broncojohn - - Not the same footage - - Dodge on yesterdays tape was pulling big truck forward. Ford pulling blond (at one time) idiot in car was a different report. I did a voice tape for her " The road was clear and I was only doin' 65 and it was just a little slippery and this stupid jerk ahead of m - - -- -- - - "

I pulled an empty Frieghtliner with a 53 foot box trailer up the exit ramp near my house last night, needless to say the man was pretty happy as were all the other trucks behind the guy. They were all giving little toots on the horns when the went by us at the top of the ramp as we unhooked. Sorry I don't have video.

Argh, sorry you guys. I saw the video and read this post so I figured I would throw it out there even if it wasn't the right video. Hey at least its still showing the raw power of a cummins. Good luck with finding the real vid ya'll, I'd love to watch it to.

Wish I'd had a video camera when I used my good ol 93 to pull a semi tractor out of a muddy field. It was buried to the bumper and the guy could not believe we got it out. I miss my 93 :{

Back in high school (yea Iknow long time ago) I watched the owner of a diesel repair shop pull a loaded 18 wheeler grain wagon with his f 150 with the old inline 6 motor. it was on flat dry ground, and he was smoking his tire to get it moving, but he did. Its not really anything speacial.

No joke.

My Dad has pulled a couple loaded logging tractor trailers out of ditches/mud with his 79 1/2 ton Chevy :-laf
