I have a 2015 3500 4x4 with 232k on the clock. Most of these were put on when I was running hotshot loads several years ago. It has been parked for a while.
The transmission was serviced every 30-40k miles and I took the truck to town today. I checked the fluid and it was a little over the hot mark when the engine was off. When I got home it would barely read on the dipstick with the truck running in park.
I need to pickup a piece of equipment on Tuesday a will run about 340 miles.
My question is, should I drop the pan, change the filter and fluid tomorrow or just add more fluid till it read is range when it’s warmed up.
I have replaced the diversion valve on the transmission lines about 50k miles ago, other than that it’s just been filters and fluids from day one.
