Ashtray/Cupholder light

I am looking for a part number (if it exists) for the lamp that will illuminate the ashtray/cupholder on my '03 Ram. I did not get the Lighting group option on this rig.



Had the dash apart today to install the Sentry Key system and noticed a 2 wire connector in the vicinity of the cupholder.

This is something that I've been interested in doing to my truck too. hope someone has the solution.

sounds like it plugs right in and you have the light for the ashtray and cupholder for under $20, and less than a 10 min job! Good Luck!

I got a lite from Radio Shack and wired it to the lighter. Taped it to the lighter and its on with the ing all the time but less than 5$. I didnt have a connection (might be due to harness changes in later production).

I got the part in today and it really doesn't put much light on the cupholder which the whole reason I got it. I have a post on the Dodge Talk thread concerning this. I have a manual trans and the light shines right on the shifter boot. Not extremely impressive. Anybody here know if there is a different one for the manual trans?

Ordered a kit on Monday. . should of been here by now but I forgot to call and ask... hopefully it works better on the automatics

Thanks for the part number! I ordered the light on Monday. I installed it on Friday. It was a piece of cake to install.



The light bracket consists of 2 leds, one pointing towards the ashtray and one towards the cupholder.



It provides enough ambient light so that I don't have to fumble for that cup of coffee at night.

Called my Dealer (Dave Smith Motors) and was told it was in. . picked it up and installed it... had to wire it in according to the thread on Dodgetalk.com as mine didn't have the plug behind the fascia. Also got it for 10% over cost because I am a member of the aforementioned forum. Internet orders are 15% above cost on parts and accessories.
