AST manifold - To coat fit areas or not

What is the concensus on coating the fit areas.
Coat one side, both sides or no sides?
Will they fot together coated?
Has anyone coated the bolt heads?

With the 2000 series, they only coat the outside of it... when I got my back from Jet-Hot, it had tape on the outer sockets and some was on the inters. so I buffed it out with a drill and emery paper... my bolts are not coated... . I am consitering 316 stainless bolts in future..... JB
