help me pick my top turbo for twins...

At what point does a small set of twins become impractical?

I was thinking of a set of twins with a OEM HX35 and either a hybrid 35/40 or a 40 for the other, and wastegated at 40psi.

Is it possible/usable to stack two 35's? No high boost, just lots of 35psi air real quick.

Maybe another way to ask this question is;

What kind of twin setup would you put on a 350 - 400hp truck?

If you're going for 350-400 hp, why go to the added expense and aggravation of twins? A PDR HX-40 or KSB1 would spool up quickly and give you the 35 lbs of boost you want without a problem?

Sticks, I talked to a guy in Vegas that built a 40/55 combo and he said he only gained about 10 psi of boost. Another though would be a HY-9 with a 55 or something like that but when it's said and done an HT3B is just so cheap, even modified ones that is is so much better. Remember my old setup Stock 35/16 and 18. 5 with a PDR HT3B/26, this setup started it's life when I had about 450 HP and worked great, no spool-up issues and I was able to take it down to 45 psi. If you set it up right a 35/14 (for you altitude) external wastegate with the 3B would work great, although I've never done it, a guy can nickle and dime a set together and do his own fab work for not too much money.
