Is ATF+4 AUTO TRANSMISSION FLUID SYNTHETIC?

Going to local transmission shop to have filter and fluid change at 26,000 miles i pull a fifth wheel trailer often. Aprox 8,000 miles so far.



will this void my Warranty? first time diesel forum ,first diesel truck love it so far.

I don't know if it's 100% syn. , but the wording on the container intimates it is. At least it must be a blend.



ASFAIK you can't get it anywhere but the dealer. Proprietory formula. Should pay ~$17. 50 a gallon if you talk nice to the parts guy.



Mopar ATF+4 is recommended and warranty friendly, if that's what you're asking. Not sure about any other brand, but a lot of people use Amsoil and other synthetics, and I've never heard of anyone being denied warranty for not using ATF+4.
 
Maxlife is ATF +4 compliant. Other than that I'm not sure what else is available. Make sure you use the correct fluid.
