I thought it was very expensive but am glad I have it. I had him make an oil pan cover and a valve cover sound dampening kit for me. The oil pan piece seems to do the most quieting, possibly because my truck sits high.
I haven't been wearing it because my vacuum and steering pumps were leaking and it was drenched in oil, a fire hazard. Plan to reinstall once I'm sure the leak is cured. I do wish the material was heavier duty as my pieces have some cuts and tears. Also wish there was some better mounting than wire wrapped around small hooks at the corners.
If you are just looking for sound dampening, I would seriously consider an Aero Turbine muffler. I have installed sound dampening against all metal I could make bare on the interior, have the ATP pieces, and adding the second muffler did more than any other modifications to quiet my ride. I can now hear my turn signals at internet speeds and my tires are louder than my engine at speed.
The ATP kit does what it claims. I think the exhaust manifold cover would be worth while. I wonder if it is good that these things keep heat in, or if they are making it run hotter. I have overheating issues but I know it cannot solely be related to the valve cover piece I'm now running.
