DDIII Questions.

Any interest in switch panel???

Anyone have this system? Its a full Stainless 4 inch including high flow SS muffler for about $900. Is this a good price? I was gonna go with aluminized steel but with all the salt that they throw in the winter in Michigan I was told that Stainless was a better choice.

If you or someone u know has this ATS 4 inch Stainless Exhaust let me know what you think. Sound, fit and finish, installation, worth the extra $500 for Stainless, etc.

The system can be seen at davesdiesel.com

Thanks

three times

You can buy three aluminized systems for that much cash. The aluminized ones last a LONG time even here in Michigan.

I'd save my money unless you like the look of stainless, but it won't stay looking nice under the truck.

I agree with Lsfarm. I have the Banks SS exhaust and kick myself in the a$$ for wasting that much money. BTW, my Banks exhaust was less than what you just quoted. Anyways, save the money and get a full exhaust from Rip. Very well made. :)

J-,

I have been following another thread for 16 ga aluminized steel at www.bigexhaust.com but couldn't get it to come up tonight. Seems to me it was about $350... do a search for Bigexhaust for the thread. There are about 7 pages on this thread TDRer's are working on a group purchase

But I am hesitent, because my dealer showed my a really sweet SS system. He wanted $750 installed and I thought I saw it someplace else. It was on the Big Exhaust website called Hog Performance and they are asking $625.

Did a google search and found they are in Salt Lake City 30 minutes from me!! The have a really neat muffler; it is reversable. one way for quiet and the other for more flow and a little louder... .

E-mailed them tonight for more info and prices will let you know.

Heck, go for the aluminized steel system and after it is installed invest in two cans of VHT aluminum hi- heat spray paint. After almost 100,000 miles of driving in everything imaginable system still looked great!! before spraying just wipe pipe down with brakleen to remove any greasy fingerprints or whatever may be on there from the installation, and then slowly cure the paint with exhaust system heat!!:)

I've got the ATS system and I like it. Ya, maybe it is alot of money but it is very well made. You should see welds on the muffler, they're perfect, and it's polished too. :D It's too nice to be under the truck. Is it worth the money, probably not, but when I was looking for exhaust systems I wanted stainless and ATS was the only company I found making them. BTW the ATS is no doubt a better system than Banks as far as sound goes.
