Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) ATS Commander vs Copilot

Does anyone know if I can use an ATS Commander in a 99 auto? ATS web site says that it is for models up to 98.

I worded that question poorly. I am running the Commander and I now have a bit of rough idle and rough shutdown. The Copilot taps two more sensors and was wondering if I had the wrong unit. I bypassed the Commander and the idle stayed rough so I now will check connections. Thanks for the replies.

Could someone briefly explain just what the ATS-Co-Pilot would do for me? I bought one after it being recommended to me. I returned it after reading through the instructions several times.



I have a '99 CTD and the instructions lead me to believe that there is a lot of manual intervention required to get it to shift if you have a stock auto transmission and stock valve body. It seems like to would be a good addition to keep the trans locked. Is this a set and forget system if used on a '99 with stock components?
