Any difference between the ats manifold and the high tech turbo manifold other than ats is more? Who is running a 3piece manifold? Is it worth the money?

If I recall the HTT comes preassembled. That has got to be a plus along with it being cheaper. I do not have either nor have I seen an HTT.

Your stock manifold WILL crack sooner or later. I would rather choose the time when it is convenient rather than rush it once it has cracked.

manifold

I'm with Bob, I would say your manifold is eventully going to crack, mine cracked when it was under warranty so I only paid the difference between the stock one and the ATS. Is it worth it? well, the ATS one has not cracked and you can tell just by looking at it that it has to flow better so I would I say since more than likely the stock one is going to crack there is no sense in waiting might as well put the right one on now and not have to worry about it.

I installed the ATS 3-piece. It is rather pricey. I was surprised taht there was a noticeable difference in turbo spool-up (faster) and a bit of added power.

well im thinking im going with the HTT but sounds like no one has bought it. Its a little cheaper. But im sure since youve had noticable difference with the ATS the HTT should also give some better results

I was going to try a HTT manifold with my twins but they hadn't gotten to my distibutor yet when I picked up the parts so I'm oldschool ATS.

So i bought the ATS from Diesel Xtrava four half the price of retail, But it was a pain in the butt to get it to line up and get in there when your bolts dont wont to come lose

Where did you get it? Waht did you pay?

I have a ATS, and it was easy to put together, you just use the old manifold to line everything up, took about 2 minutes. Better turbo spool, lower EGT's, no cracking, and mine has not come loose, I re-torqued the bolts after 3 or 4 heat cycles then safety wired them, done. never heard of the HTT manifold.

I just talked to Paul at HTT and he quoted me $460 and that includes the gasket kit.

He says the HTT is designed for low-mid range power applications and is designed toward quickspool for this range. For higher end applications (bigger HP) he said the ATS is probably a better choice.

We do not sell ATS products. The manifold is ours and is different than ATS. If you look at the seal area, you will notice that it seals differently. HTT's is sent already assembled, and is drilled and tapped with (2) holes. Everett

I have the ATS manifold. Seem to get better performance (power and fuel economy) but I made a bunch of other changes fairly quickly afterwards so I didn't have a chance to really check it out.

It was especially nice to have a EGT probe tap available when I added gauges.

Overall I would purchase the same thing again.

Everett, I know that the ATS manifold can benefit from some "port matching" at the seal joint. How is the HTT manifold in that regard?

I put a HTT manifold on the truck when I put the new turbo on it. It went together easy, it came in three pieces, and the ports looked like they matched up real close. Quality of the casting looks as good as anything i've seen. The only problems I had, which were minor, were the two holes at each end of the manifold that were pretty tight. The purpose of this I believe is to make sure the ports line up. The only other problem I had was having to modify my heater hose bracket but paul says this is fixed since I sent him a pick of the problem I had. As far as performance goes I put the new turbo, manifold and AFE stage 2 intake on all at the same time so I can't say how much the individual parts contributed to the performance increase. I got great service from HTT and would buy the manifold again.
