Parallel turbo's??

Transfer case Fluid change

I have driven and built transmissions using BD, DTT, SUN COAST, TRANSGO parts and fully modified Trans from these companies. What I have not done yet is to drive or see an ATS equipped truck work. I was wondering if someone in the Michigan area has one I can ride in and test. I need some input from people that own them like did you feel a difference from the stock converter -v- to the ATS converter in first gear? Did the rpm go up about the same in first gear from a wot standstill or was it different?

If we could I would like to keep this to a calm thread and I feel sorry for people that own what they want or what they can afford at that time and then others come behind you and pick on you for what you own or say it’s not good stuff. I was just looking at some post and some of these threads just blow my mind

What would be nice is in a perfect world we could meet at an event and drive trucks from ALL the aftermarket folks or customers trucks.

Thunder in Muncie would be a good opportunity to do that.

Yes it would be nice but i need to get one soon before the meet.

but why are they mostly located in Canada?

I live in Grand Rapids, MI and you are welcome to have a demo ride in my truck if you get in this area.

The ATS converter is much 'tighter' than stock (lower stall speed) and you feel the engagement from neutral to drive stronger than stock. In general, the rpm of the engine is quite a bit lower when going thru the gears than with a stock converter. I feel it is much more efficient. The biggest change, however, is when the converter is locked up. The ATS converter is absolutely rock solid - no slippage when locked up no matter what.

I also installed their valve body when installing the converter. This improves the shifting performance and allows the converter to be locked up in any of the four forward speeds. This feature is very handy when going up long and/or steep hills. By locking up in 3rd, 2nd or even 1st if you want, slippage and heat are reduced a great deal. Heat is a big (probably the biggest) enemy of automatic transmissions with respect to long life.

Hope this helps. Call me (318 0411 Nextel) if you get in the GR area and want a ride in my truck.

I felt a jaw-dropping difference when I picked my truck up after the ATS re-build.

I couldn't believe it was the same truck. It made that much difference.

The ATS Stator Design is indeed much tighter than stock. It gooses my truck off the line now, instead of the way it used to slog off the line with the stock stator.

The difference is really remarkable. It is like a different truck. This is the Stator Dodge should have engineered and installed.

TC lock-up is firm. The TripleLok won't slip, I don't care how much H. P. & Torque you put through it.

I got the Stage IV re-build, which includes all the beefed-up internal parts and the TripleLok Commander, which is a dash-mounted controller which lets you lock the TC up at any speed, from about 20mph on up. Then the trans will shift locked either up through the gears, or down through the gears--which is great when using my Pacbrake coming down a steep grade.

This is the best thing I have ever done to my truck.
