I am having an ATS stage V trans installed in my truck. Those of you with the complete ATS trans, what kind of ATF are you using? I looked around on the ATS web site but I did not find any referance to this.

I've got the ATS Stage III. ATS told me to run the factory recommended fluid, and to change fluid and filter every 15,000 miles. I would imagine it would be the same with your set-up.

When I installed my Stage V trans, the included instuctions said to use Dexron II  - I e-mailed ATS and questioned them on this. This was their response:

Thanks for chosing the ATS package. You can use either the Chrysler +3 or +4 fluid, or Amsoil. The warranty has everyone do the full transmission service at either 1 year or 15,000 miles (whichever comes first) and return the cooresponding paperwork each time to maintain coverage. This is why we recommend the +3, because it less expensive (but +4 is fine if you like to run that).

Don-T,I recieved your message but couldn't figure out how to respond privatly. ATS sent me to a transmission shop in Las Vegas for the repair. They totally disassembled the transmission and hot tanked it. (It's not purple any more. ) I can't tell you what they did because I didn't get a bill. The shop said they replaced the electronics in the valve body and some clutch packs. It's working great again and only time will tell if it's ok. They use Dexron II.
