ats turbo?

hello,

just bought a 1990... question is did ats have a "turbo kit" of some kind? the turbo thats on the truck doesnt look like the factory job and the down pipe looks different as well. the boost gauge only goes to 15 lbs & i peg it every time i push the go pedal

just curious being new to the 1st gens and all.

Is the turbine wastegated?



Most likely it is a Banks (because they sold the most kits out there) but could just be an upgraded turbo. 15psi ain't much so either you have a cracked hump hose or a poked intercooler.

thanks for the info... . its not waste gated and its not intercooled.

the guage its self only reads to 15 psi so when i peg the guage out i dont have any idea how much boost ive got.

is there a holset # on the housing i can compare to?
