Attending May Madness 2009?

Anyone attending this year's May Madness? I attended last year for the first time and I had a good time. Everyone I've met was very friendly. Drove my CTD from Sacramento with my wife as my “copilot” (I did all the driving and she did all the sleeping). We will be attending again this year as I will get back from my Iraq deployment in mid April which will give me enough time to prep my CTD for the trip. I've already sent Joe my money and my reservation for the Nugget is set. Hope to see some of you there.

Does anyone have a schedule of events as far as what's going on and on what days. There seems to be a minimal amount of information available for this event. I'm just trying to decide what days to attend since I start my two week vacation on the 3rd-17th.

Hey Bubby good to hear from you. My wife and I will be there for sure. I’ve made my reservation for the 5th. When will you be there? Will you be driving your super clean 01? That is the cleanest 01 I’ve ever seen man.

Yep I’ve done more sound proofing. Last year I just finished installing Dynamat Extreme on the hood and now it has a layer of Second Skin Motor Mat Pro over the Dynamat Extreme. I’ve also put on a layer of Dynamat under the cab and I am hoping to have enough time to coat it with a layer of liquid sound proofing prior to May Madness trip. I also have a Banks intercooler on it now and a dual Cat fuel filter set-up. I’m debating if I should get a SB dual disk since it will slip going up an interstate ramp. Do you think Blair can install my clutch at MM? I hope the economy will not keep too many people from attending.

Yeah I thought the same thing but Uncle Sam had other plans and sent me again. He told me “you go or else” and I said “yes sir”. I don’t ask questions anymore and just say “yes”.



I have not seen anything in print as far as the schedule. Last year was the same and nothing till about two weeks from MM there was something on the web site. Hope to see some of you there.

Almost all of the pre-registration forms have the correct dates on them, and those using the wrong form were contacted about the dates, so I think everyone has the right dates in mind.



The Pahrump track closed so no racing or pulling there. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway (see Las Vegas Motor Speedway for info) has not finalized their schedule. If there is drag racing that week, we will be able to go there for drags.

I'm keeping my head down for sure and pray to God to come home in one piece, no holes of any kind (I’m counting on my body armor that’s built by the lowest bidder to do its job) and all my limbs still attached as I would hate to miss MM 2009. Believe me the TDR Family would be proud of what other TDR members are doing here for the American people. Will you be there Joe?
